Finally! Back to civillisation! (Kneel down and kiss ground)
Had a 6-days field camp that just ended today... 6 days outfield is the longest I had so far, and experiences from previous 6-days field camp really left me quite discouraged... Further more, it was all rushy on sunday night for inspection, which actually was fun admist all the mess...
Set off early the next morning, still feeling low... Had quite a slack first day... So was thinking alot, and was wondering I was gonna survive my remaining few days feeding mosquitoes, getting disturbed by ants in my sleep, lying/proning around with sandflies, worms, snails, all kind of you-know-what.
But all the 'fun' came in during the exercises. Exercises here mean missions... Wouldn't elaborate on the exercises though. And because I was PS for the last exercise, I had to learn from all the mistakes made by all the previous PS-s in the earlier exercises. Though most of the time I was in man-mode.
Whatever it is, first field camp for Pro-term down, more to come! haha...
Alright, track back to what happened last sunday... Had a dinner to celebrate my grandfather's birthday. It's good that everyone meets up, be it once in a while or whatsoever. Dinner was alright, but the mood not really there...
Till then, goodnight all, I needa catch up on my sleep!
Spent half of my week this week outfield... Urban Ops training... It wasn't really a field camp, so it was in a rather relaxed mode... Another field camp coming up next week... a 6D5N camp... Gosh...
Had my IPPT yesterday... Only got a pass... Couldn't jump... Probably due to the fatigue after the fast march the day before... Quite disappointed though...
It seems like there's so much things to do and prepare for the camp, but I just feel so sian... Don't feel like doing anything... Was really motivated after watching that Clint Eastwood-produced movie on Friday night, but booking out spoils everything... Once back to civillian life, the garang-ness is once again lost.
Suffering from body fatigue now, don't really know why because I thought only my legs were really maximised... Didn't thought that my arms and back would be affected...
Alright, gotta stop writing... got some work left to do before book-in...
Shag week!!! Everyday PT and my body is already giving way...
Everyday's programme is like so packed and I practically forgot what I did one day the very next day... I was living day by day only looking forward to book-out... Wa lao...
My ankle's really giving me problems... I fell out from the 10km run because I couldn't take it after 4km... I guess it's over-strained... When it hurts, I just can't stand up, my affected leg is practically shaking... I can't jump, because the landing inflicts pain... And I'm really at a loss what to do to heal my leg... They say I need rest, but I can't get any from the everyday programme...
Finally swam for the first time in OCS yestereday... But the attire was not quite ideal; long 4 without boots (thank God!)... I thought it was ok, but ended up panting halfway through... haha... And as part of the test requirement, Oh, the swimming was actually a test to test our swimming capabilities. As part of the test requirement, we had to tread (ok, i do not know how to spell this word) water for 10mins in that long 4 attire... Gosh, it's damn shag after all the PT the whole week...
OH YES! I forgot, Monday, Initiation Ceremony! haha... woke up damn early, the juniors were no better, because they were TURNED OUT! haha.... fun?! 3 months later, you guys will have your to turn ppl out... hehe...
Right, I gotta go sleep, bloody tired and I need to rest my leg...
Till then.
First book out of the year! Many to come, I strongly believe! haha...
First book out from Golf Wing too... haha... Indeed, I had a cultural shock when I got to Golf Wing... The culture's really different... I won't elaborate... No point comparing also... I'm now a Golf Wing cadet! Golf Wing the best! Hooyah!
However, I must say the mosquitoes really love Golf Wing... The bunks are infested with mosquitoes, and I haven't been sleeping well because of the attacks... Damn the mosquitoes... I'm gonna bring in something in the next book in, and they're gonna regret big time!
This week has been a rather hectic week... 2 SOCs, 10km run, and many many lessons... Muscles aching like mad...
My leg got really pain during the 10km run... But I managed to complete it in 51 mins... Went to the MO the next day (Thursday) because the pain was unbearable... He gave me only paracetemol... WHAT THE HELL?! But I still took it to suppress the pain... But the pain still kept on coming... Wanted to do SOC that very evening, but was worried I couldn't make it... Still went though... Got through! haha... But now, the pain shifted to the ankle area... And I was practically limping... Again, I swallowed the painkillers according to the dosage... Skipped the cadence run the next morning, and the games, because I couldn't walk at all... Decided against going to the MO again because of an important lesson... Became so desperate when Kenny brought out this cream for me... Haha... Thanks man! I applied quite a thick layer on my painful area... Got better a little the next morning (this morning), so I did SOC test, and I passed! haha... So NO MORE SOC for me ANYMORE!!! haha...
Oh, I'm involved in the initiating ceremony for the junior cadets, 70/07 OCC... Looking at them, can't help reminding myself 3 months ago, the same way I reacted to the life in OCS... haha... Memories...
Come Monday, it'll be an exciting morning! haha... Don't ask me further questions of what is to come... haha... just enjoy whatever is planned out for you guys, can?! hehe...
I think it's only polite if you thank someone for helping you... be it lending you a hand or even answering your question to solve a problem... So that the person feels that his help is being appreciated... Just that little 'thank you' will make a difference.
