Whoa... Booked out from Singapore Discovery Centre. why were we there? for the same reason ed and matt have to be there... some NE thing... haiz...
Had 16km road march on Thursday evening, the 2nd last road march before POP!!! haha... seriously, it's tiring, i mean, i could still run with the FBO, but shoulders were breaking, and my ankle hurts like hell... all because of the fast march during my SIT test... must have hurt my ankle then... walked through 8km, then the pain kicked in... but it was another 4km of gravel road before we could hit the tar road... damn... but i pulled through with the pain... Ahhhh... next stop is 24km... haha... matt, do the coastal road 10 times, and we can graduate le... hahaha...
it's quite memorable, the 16km, i think the 24km will be more memorable... haha... basically we just slacked the whole morning, preparing ourselves mentally for the road march... how nice...
went for SOC too... gosh... still not confident about the low rope... guess i gotta pray hard i get the technique right...
and now for OC evening... damn... they need retro clothes... like who will use them? the most go for some retro night at Zouk, and that's like once in a blue moon... Lame... Needa crack my brain to find one...
Matthew! Where's my engineering gloves??!!! haha... Joking... miss you and ed man, hope to gather with u 2 "idiots" soon... haha...
Hooray! Booked out again! Let's see.. this week's activities are hogged with close combat fighting... so nothing interesting... I mean, I think there's probably a need for it, but I don't really enjoy myself... Anyways, it's 3 more weeks to POP!!! haha... What's after that? Oh wells, gotta wait till 1st Sep... Haiz... demoralised...
Wanted to go overseas with the other 2 gays and probably Vanessa during that ~2 weeks break after POP, but Matt kinda can't leave, and I'm contemplating over leaving the country, so we screwed the plans... haha...
They say you know when everybody's in a desperate situation... i guess they're right... Now I know who my true friends are, and sadly, those who are not my true friends, I vote them rather low for leadership qualities... Can't stand a few people, especially some of them in my section... Pissed off with them... Selfish bastards...
Been thinking of girls lately... haha... joking! Been thinking about life after BMT and how I can resume my music education thereafter... But it's quite pessimistic...
Alright... gotta go change... going out for domestic affairs... haha...
Booked out today! Damn shiok! but what the fuck?! my legs are blistered damn badly... when i pulled off my socks, the skin came following out... damn...
oh... let me explain... i'm out of camp today because it's National Day tmr... haha... we'll be celebrating "someone's" 42nd birthday...
Had SIT test since Monday... Yes, stayed outfield camp; away from urban-isation...
We walked 12km, FBO, on Monday, which was damn shagged... I felt alright during the first 10km, but during the last 2km, the sun was bladdy hot, i was almost dehydrated... Chiong to the destination, only to find myself near to heat exhaustion, having dizzy-ness... and it's scary...
Then we had 2 accounts of fast march; 4km on Tuesday and 2km on Wednesday, which is today... both SBO... Fast march is really fast... haha... i was almost jogging... yes, with the rifle...
The test was haiz... disappointing... dunno if it's gonna crush my hopes for command school... I only wished that phobia didn't hinder my actions throughout the whole test...
My detail was also disappointing... I thought he would be a good friend in support, but I was wrong... but i'm rather impressed with Ming Fu, you could see his whole heart in the thing, although he slacks off sometimes... but oh wells... haha...
Booking in tmr... Night! haha... having a BBQ at my place for the extended family... haha... but won't be staying for long since I need to book in...
Feeling like a soldier these days... and i quite like the things that are being done so far... BUT BUT, i will NEVER sign on... NEVER!
Oh, I met Matt on 'Tekong Penguin'... in case you guys don't know, that's the name of the ferry... We were talking, as usual... haha... miss talking to him... nth's changed, except that we're 'botaks' now... haha... hope that the 3 PRs of Esplanade can meet up real soon...
1 more month to POP... The bonds in my platoon are there, but regimentation is still poor, I dunnoe... haiz...
Alright, gonna turn in now, damn tired, although the resting hours the previous 2 nights were long... haha...
The following post is dated 3rd August...
Back from camp once again... I stayed in camp for 2 weeks and finally I'm out... why 2 weeks? because my field camp was over the weekends... Field camp was fun, and bloody tiring... got bitten by sand flies till crazy... dug a hole (which they call it a shell-scrape) to sleep in for 2 days... and yes, with the earthworms and roots... rained everyday, built my basha tent in a super long heavy rain, and after walking 8km in full-battle order... damn it... Learned quite of things from field camp, thought it's exciting... haha... guess i'll learn more of that if i go to command school...
came down with a fever yesterday, 38.1 degrees and rising... woke up as usual; early, but i was a little late, and went for breakfast... was feeling unusually cold, so i asked my platoon mate if he felt cold, he said no... wondered if i was weak... haha... went back to bunk after breakfast, felt so much like sleeping... turned off the fan and lied in bed, and felt the surrounding air quite warm... knew then that something was amiss... woke up 15 mins later and prepared myself for the running activity that was commencing soon... told my section mate i think i have a fever, and he felt my body and confirmed it was fever... he told my officer although i persuaded him not to... because i didn't want to affect my routine exercises... the fever got worsened i guess when i couldn't even balance myself when i stood up from a sitting position, and i felt dizzy, still i wanted to 'garang' for the run... i was later asked to go see the MO by my OC which i tried begging him not to because i didn't want a status just in case I couldn't take the SIT test that was coming on Monday... He said it was fine, so I just went along... Went to Medical Centre, and measured my temperature... Was wondering why after so long, my thermometer didn't 'beep', so i checked it out, and saw the temp, '38.1'... alright, normally, i wouldn't give a damn about this kind of low temp, i would just pop some panadols and sleep... but having a temp more than 37.9 would mean you are given an MC and sent home, which i don't want... so i kept my thermometer, knowing the temperature would rise even higher...
was given some pills and MC... damn it... Asked one of the sergeants if i could book out together with the company since it's on the same day, just that they're leaving at night, while i in the morning... he asked my Platoon commander who disagreed, and i was asked to pack up and go home... damn...
i lost my voice too, bad flu and cough, with seldom occurances of blood in the phlegm... went to see my family doctor, hope i recover soon...
had a weird dream on thursday night, but i won't elaborate...
realised that i'm more 'shuai bian' these days since serving the army... i didn't get proper plasters from the medic for my blisters which my feet are suffering from because of the field camp. I merely took a black tape and use it as a plaster... haha... i know it's bloody unhygienic, but i couldn't be more bothered with getting plasters... haha...
and it's wierd, that i find boiled water wierd-tasting... haha... maybe i'm used to tap water...
oh yes, saw matthew at the cookhouse twice, i think, and edmund once... haha... Ed still didn't get his PES downgrade in the end... haha... wondering when we could all meet again... haiz...
oh... did i tell you guys? i broke my record for 2.4km again! haha... my fastest, ever...
