*Ahem*... It's the last day of 2007... Another year just gone like that...
2007 has been a rather quiet year for me... Hopefully 2008 for me will be filled with more excitment and achievements-to-be-made. Of course, some greedy little wishes, including my commission, a girlfriend, and my very own car! =D
Oh, and I'm giving the countdown a miss because I don't really like crowds... haha... So, Jap, hopefully that answers your question...
Went to watch National Treasure today... Ask me if I like it someone... "So, do you like it?" No, I don't, I simply love it! haha... You see that's me, I love such movies along with those about medieval period...
And yes, had my piano tuned today... Was playing 'La Plus Que Lente' on the freshly-tuned piano... Oh my God! Orgasmic! Seriously, the sound is wow... Of course, the pianist had to contribute too... But I put in a considerable amount of effort, and it sounded 'wow'. Never really felt so indulgent with that piece before...
And that 'Amadeus' movie is making in love with Mozart's PF Con. Gosh... Had been listening to No. 20 countless times... Like the dark passages alot... Argh! Music!
Returning to camp tmr, after a long break... A long, well-enjoyed break, really... Will be moving to Golf Wing... Oh wells...
Anyway guys, before the clock strucks midnight, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Whoa! Another day gone... Spend these nights watching movie... How unhealthy... Oh, was at Van's house last night for a dinner; she invited us... Great dinner... haha... And of course Diamond played a rather good co-host... haha...
really, there's nothing much to blog about... Oh, 'Amadeus' is a nice film, watch it if you guys have the time... It's about the life of Mozart... haha... Have always been a lover of classical era music, this movie spiced up the interest more... haha...
Love and Sex don't mix... haha... Whatever...
As the year 2007 comes to an end, I'm reflecting upon it... In terms of achievement, not as promising as last year, because of the no opportunities. However, fitness and maturity has grown through the early stage of NS =D
Year 2008 is coming, just a few wishes, my 'chocolate bar', someone to be called 'my other half'... Just these 2 first... haha... Still got about 23 hours more to think...
Yes, I'm not in camp... Let's see, how should I start...
Booked in on Tuesday night... Woke up on Wednesday to do nothing... Because Infantry personnel had no SOCJOT packing to do... Oh, we went to do some 'Sierra-Kilo' for our instructors for SOC... haha... "shag right... Don't bullshit me..." haha... Wednesday night... Start of the fateful 24km route march... Started at 10.30pm, walked till about 6am the next morning...
This 24km is a killer... Don't know why, but perhaps because of the boring surroundings, each 4km seems like never ending... haha... Glad that we all completed it... Tango finished the route march with NO fall-outs! Hooray! Long live Tango!
Then came the senior bar presentation... Wohooo! Pro Term already! 6 more months! Oh, the ironic thing was, we had to march back to unit after the presentation... wa lao...
Didn't go back and sleep on Thursday morning... Had de-kitting to do... And I had to pack my stuff to move to Golf Wing... Quite sad to leave Tango Wing actually... Kinda miss it... Everything was only done till 11.15pm that very day... Had area inspection, booked at midnight... bloody hell... Got home so tired last night I just fell asleep after bathing...
Woke up this morning, was looking through the photos again and again, and the video, and I realised I really miss Tango... Wanna post some photos, but I don't think it's really allowed... So, sorry... And I realise, I've changed throughout these 3 months of Service Term... I'm quite liking army... haha...
Rather sad that all of us are leaving... It's like these 3 months of shit is more than that of BMT, really can't bear to leave my platoon mates... And once again, loner, out to forge new ties...
Alright, I'll just post a couple of photos...
I like this picture alot... For those who have been to Tekong Ferry Terminal before, remember that there's a banner at the ceiling having the words somewhat like "It's not what you left behind, but what you gain in the days ahead." Won't this picture be a good headstart? haha...
Got some more wish I believe I'm allowed to post, but I don't have it, will update again when I grab hold of them =)
Be It, Live It, Tango!
Wow! It's Christmas again! haha... Remembered that my christmas last year was spent in Perth... Dead city during this season...
Anyways, went to watch "I am Legend" with my family... Gosh was it a nice show... haha... So good that i didn't feel tired or bored... haha... but the storyline's rather repetitive with its contemporaries in the past.
Nvm about that, just wanna wish all my friends a Merry Christmas! I'm booking in later, so kinda of a down mood actually... haha... Savouring every moment before book in...
Right, that's all...
P.S. I probably gave you a silly reply, ignore it if you wish.
Happy X'mas everyone!
fa la la la la, la la la la...
Christmas is coming soon in a couple of hours...
Was back in camp doing duty... Kind of boring... Though I had a partner, but we didn't really talk much... We did have conversations, but of short-lived... Was entertained by someone else instead over handphone... Zk came to visit me before booking in... haha... I knew he missed me! bloody hell, still dun wanna admit...
Thought through about the messages sent to me yesterday, and I drew a conclusion, but it shall not be elaborated.
Had my christmas celebration with my family at Ritz-Carlton hotel... Was bloody full, didn't really feel like having a good dinner...
Will be booking in tomorrow, and that's a total turn-off...
P.S. Keep me updated of your results, I'll definitely keep my promise.
Came back from Klavierensemble's concert... Generally, not bad... Of course, there's still a lot a lot of work to do for those pair works... Then again, it takes a lot of experience and time to communicate well... So, again, not bad for a start...
Saw someone today... Not sure if I saw wrongly, but I was quite sure I saw him... Quite turned off... Don't know why there's this hatred between me and him...
Oh... Forgot to mention I saw Sgt Nick yesterday... Quite surprised to see him... To think he still remembers me... haha... And he seems rather happy I'm going to Infantry for Pro Term... haha...
And I seriously like the atmosphere in the pub yesterday... Can't figure out why ppl like clubs more than pubs... wa lao...
Wanted to join the performers for dinner actually... But they were still busy, and I need to go back to camp for duty tmr, so decided to go off with Matthew first... Moreover, we were too hungry... Perhaps the next time =)
Oh, speaking of which, I miss performing so so so much... haha...
Hm, not much to blog about, oh, here's some photos... Explanatory notes provided! =)
Matthew's really lousy photography skills... haha...
Uh huh... The usual suspects...
Yea, the usual suspects again...
The mess, sort of...

haha... Self explanatory... But no, we're straight...
Officers-to-be of the different formations; Signals, Infantry, ATO
My date and I
My date and I again... =D
Right, that's all... Matthew and I were talking about girlfriends again... Having a girlfriend would mean a mental encouragement... Also, you will know that you're training so hard to protect the one you love... And there'll be someone to listen to your complaints every night...
Then again, having a gf to really understand you and tolerate you for the fact that you're away 6 days in a week, it's really hard... And as a result, alot of r/s problems, which directly affect your concentration in training.... That's why I say having a gf is good source of encouragement if she's mature enough but a problem if she's one who can't accept the way the r/s is at this point of time.
"Going back" is seemingly impossible, because the guy is locked out of the doors to her heart...
Yeap! Another day just passed... I'm one day closer to my 23km route march... Thinking of the future route marches I'll be having frequently, I can't help but sigh...
Matthew asked me about some past, thought about it, kind of decided that I'll let the past remain the past... After all, she's got someone she likes already, and there's really no point in 'going back'.
Went out with Matthew and gang, like I mentioned before... Met Matthew earlier than the rest to look for pianos... He's interested, not me... He kinda saw one that he likes and seemed rather determined to get it... But he was thrown into confusion when he talked to Edmund about the pianos we looked around today; which included the kawaii pianos at Robert Pianos or sth... Oh, I was bloody tempted to try out the Steinway uprights, but didn't eventually... Too shy to ask the lady...
Went on to do a little shopping (last minute decision). However, we kinda suck at shopping... was walking around and looking for practically nothing... waste time...
Then Vanessa called, and we decided to go meet her... While on our way, Edmund called... He was nearer to where we were than Vanessa, so we decided to go find Edmund... We got Vanessa to go look for the 3 guys at Taka... haha...
Anyway, then it was dinner, and Sihui joined in later... Dinner was full... Edmund didn't eat as much as usual, because he was anxious to have a drink... So we did go in the end... Oh, did I mention we were standing outside the pub for like 15 mins to decide if we were going to play pool at cuppage or have a drink... Matthew decided to toss a coin to determine the fate... Turned out that luck was on Ed and my side... So we 'charged' into the pub... haha... Then it was goodnight... =)
Had much fun today... Never fail to feel happy when I'm with those usual suspects... haha...
Pondering over the conversation with Ming Kai that night... A gf... Sometimes you really hope you have one (because you feel envious about ur mates having one too), then again, it seems so hard to find a gf these days while in army... and to find a gf who will be there, standing by you even though she sees you only once every week... I guess, if i were to find a gf, she's gotta be very independent... Perhaps it's time I start looking for that dream girl Matthew and I discussed about today...
Yesterday was Social Night... Came back home rather late, so didn't blog and slept already...
The food was rather bland, the setting and atmosphere was alright...
Oh, thank you Christine for being my date for the night.
Booked out at 2pm, then went to pick up my date and headed for SAFTI... Oh... Got my posting before entering the mess... Infantry... Seriously, at that point of time, I felt like crying. I didn't want to go to Infantry... In fact, most of my platoon mates didn't want to go there... But there's nothing I can do... Starting to accept the sad fact already.
Tried not to think too much, less spoiling the already short night. There were games in the midst of the whole dinner, and to begin with, everybody was socialising... haha... yea, the true purpose of Social Night... For guys to see each other for the last few times, and for the ladies to know each other... haha... but didn't really work out that way for the ladies. Oh, there was a video outlining the 3 months training screened... Quite touching... And of course, there was much explanation to our dates because they didn't know what we were doing... So you can hear alot of whisperings... haha...
Finally, the whole dinner culminated into a lucky draw and some awards presentation. I won home a foot massager... WTF... Actually, it's supposed to be my date's number... haha... I didn't feel like taking it home actually... haha... but i still did.
I suddenly had a feeling last night. A long lost feeling. I was pondering on my way home last night if I should rekindle that feeling... but there were so many 'buts'...
"It's not easy to be girlfriends or wives of officer cadets and officers"... That's what my Wing Commander said in his speech... The question about if I should have a girlfriend or not still remains unanswered...
Junjie aka BlackKnight
Booked out damn late last night... because of the fatigue duty for the commissioning parade... then we kept wondering when it's gonna be our turn... haha...
Had a week of shiong and relaxed trainings... The week started off with the 16km route march... gosh, it was damn shiong... ok, it's only 16km, but it's like 2 months since we last had our route march... and this time round we had to carry our platoon esteb weapons... The GPMG that I carried during the first 4km killed me for the rest of the route march... Moreover, I haven't really recovered from the SOC injury... And i sustained a new injury during the march... f***...
But the morning culminated into a damn good afternoon; an NE tour to Old Ford Factory and Army Musuem and a Night's out!!! Actually, was allowed to go home, but I decided to go back camp instead to study for my Safety Officer Qualifying Test... But ended up slacking... haha...
Tuesday was the test... Quite hard actually... Then much slacking...
Wednesday: Can't really remember what I did...
Thursday: Yea, this day too...
Friday: Damn! What happened? I forgot everything!!!
Saturday: Morning; OCCT... Once again, Army teaching us how to fight... haha... Afternoon till night, Fatigue Duty... Sierra Kilo Warriors...
Sometimes I feel guilty towards this guy in my wing... I really don't show him much politeness, and his appointment is so high, and he can give me extras, but i can't help it but give him attitude... Seriously, not trying to act noble, but everytime I see that my platoon becomes PFP again, as instructed by him, I get damn pissed off... And the secondary reason because of some history...
Whatever...
Meeting Edmund and gang soon... Next Friday... Hopefully Matthew can make it...
Oh, speaking of which, Congratulations to Matthew for his award! Will you a very good 1 x punch the next time i see you... haha...
Was learning the guitar yesterday in bunk from Samuel... Haha... Really not cut out to be a strings player... Tried learning the violin, but gave up a few hours later... haha... Now, the guitar, i'm complaining about the strings hurting my fingers... haha... I'll just stay as a pianist ba...
Speaking of music, Klavierensemble is having her next concert in Ngee Ann... Decided to go with Matthew to sleep in there... haha... joking... Wondering how the juniors are doing... Miss those days I eat lesser, sleep lesser, study lesser, slack lesser, just to practise for concerts... Hoping to get back on stage again... And of course, learning from Mr. Ku again...
Service Term is coming to an end soon... Which means, vocation notice coming soon... damn anxious... and then social night! and finally the ever scary 23km route march...
Sweet girl: that dress will be just fine... haha... don't worry...
Alright, going off now, gotta prepare to book in... 9km run tmr morning... Madness...
Happy Belated Birthday to Junjie!!... haha...
Happy Belated Birthday to Benny!!
Happy Birthday to Liqin!!
This week has been a tough and long week, with two live firings back to back... There was so much activities squeezed in just one week that we had almost no time to take a break...
Slept at 4.35am this morning after cleaning the GPMG from yesterday's live firing... The worse was, we woke up at 5am yesterday morning and didn't sleep till 4.35am... And had to wake up at 6.15am for breakfast... Hardly able to maintain eyes opened...
Social Night is coming... Hm, thanks gal for accompanying me...
16km route march coming up... A little afraid though... Injured my leg while doing SOC that day... Couldn't really walk... Then Renand aggravated the injury by throwing his helmet on the injury in response to something I said to him... haha...
Platoon Live Firing coming up next week too... Then that will conclude almost all the important activities in Service Term...
Oh... Stepping down from my appointment as CPS soon... In fact this past week after platoon field camp, I've been playing the role of CPC and CPS most of the time because my CPC has this junior colours thing...
It really sucks to have an appointment sometimes... Won't elaborate though... It's good and bad that the appointment is ending... Got a report to write too, haiz...
I need a callsign... Something as striking as "Wildcat"... haha...
Ok... it turned out to be a great evening with my friends... haha... same old shit funny stuff back in camp... Had dinner at Park Mall... Didn't spend as much time as I normally would with ZK and gang...
Talked to Matt on the phone that night, haha... We'll meet up in less than a month's time...
Dinner was alright, just that we were like vietnamese (that's what my encik would call us) haha...
this is what he meant:
haha... Anyway, we liked the pudding so much, Gabriel went crazy and got the whole table this much:
Then we went for a game of pool... Supposed to be at Le Meridien Hotel, but it was full-house so we went to Bugis, opposite the old NAFA... After which half of us stayed for Roti Prata for supper haha... just around the corner of the new NAFA building... Not bad Prata...
Went to do some moving stuff the next morning... Got real busy the whole day... Don't wish to elaborate though... I miss Civi life...
Was out doing some grocery shopping at NTUC today... Saw a young couple... Then I started imagining myself settling down... a young couple, no children yet, doing grocery shopping at NTUC... Yea, I can buy that idea! haha... Sometimes I feel like settling down so quickly... Get married, a house, and a car... Maybe it's time I start to have a girl in my life again...
