muahahahahahaha.... a long weekend...
yes, i disappeared last weekend because of my platoon field camp...
that's the 4th and the last field camp in my service term (hooray!)
an all combat rationed field camp, we had to build shellscrapes and trenches... if you think a shellscrape is tiring, a trench is worse, like 10 times worse... Because I was part of the GPMG team, I had to be involved in the digging of the GPMG trench which is like f***ing hard...
many times, we felt like giving up, but somehow or rather we just kept on going...
damn! the MG is freaking heavy... I had to carry it up a knoll... almost out of breath when i got up there...
Oh... the field camp was unofficially concluded when we were attacked by just less a size of 2 platoons... that's about 5 sections... and we had only about 4 sections strength... So rightfully, we're going to lose, and we're supposed to lose btw... But we didn't... we fought till the last man... haha... it was damn real, but somehow, our enemy just couldn't die until they were forced to be declared dead... and used grenades can be thrown again... haha... as for my MG team, we were retrogating from the lower half of the knoll till the top... fucking shag... and i wasn't supposed to be dead, thanks to this bloody cock who decided to throw a grenade randomly, and turned out that it hit an instructor, so in exchange for his life (because he held the most important appointment), i had to be sacrificed...
Half of the following day was spent on covering up the trench, and my record for covering up a shellscrape is 8mins21secs... haha... the 2nd half of the day was spent on weapon maintenance... =(
The next moring, we were all busy with washing our uniform, stores, etc... but all was good when we were given a night's off... so we all (the whole wing) cluster-fucked at JP... though some went to meet their girlfriends, wished i had one to meet... =|
And i thought the days before book out for long weekend was gonna be in a relaxed mode, NO! We had SOC the next day... and we were only informed like just before?.... then we had route march the next day... the fatigue that resulted is tremendous... so all i need now is rest, rest, rest!
My dad's birthday that day, so gave him a little surprise by having a cake delivered back home... meeting platoon mates later for dinner... gosh, they're like planning for the dinner next bookout already... madness.....
bloody fucker who's causing so much trouble in our lives... damn him, damn that bastard... call himself a catholic... heartless creature, fuck that bloody nut brain lah, nus prof... fucking cockanathan! how can someone like you be so selfish, unsincere, rude, no feeling of guilt at all?
damn it, i hope he changes his mind man... bloody pussy.
by the way, i changed my blog song... it's called "Top of the World". It's by "The Carpenters". however, from the website i get my songs, i'm not able to get by the original artistes, so i got another version, which is not so good, but the flavour is there... enjoy! Oh, thinking of putting up the lyrics too...
Another week gone...
Booked out early this morning because the week ended with the 8km run at ECP... Target time to complete = 40 mins... I did it in about 32 mins time... Perhaps can be a little faster...
Let's see, what did I do this week?
Monday: Section Live Firing... Quite fun, but a little scary, because your section mates are holding real ammunition and running beside you...
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: AOP
Friday: TEWT at Mandai, SOC, JITT for Section Quick Attack Live Firing...
Saturday: 8km Endurance Run...
Seriously, looking at the schedule, not shiong, but I slept at only 3am on Mon, 12 midnight on Tue, 2 plus nearing to 3 on Thursday... Not enough rest, then had to do SOC... Full run-down... F**king hell... Didn't expect it to be so shag... totally felt like lying down on the ground after 'touch down'...
Quote of the day: The only easy day was yesterday
This is the 8th week already... 2 months passed just like that... And another field camp coming up in the coming week, the last one out of the 4 field camps... And this upcoming one will be the most shiong... Oh God, see me through this camp...
Heard Alwin singing this song "You raise me up"... Thought it was nice, so had my blog song changed, and because the lyrics is quite beautiful, so I posted it too... But the song is a strings version, listen to the depth of the music, let it touch your heart...
"You Raise Me Up"
When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
HaPpY dEpAvAli!!!
Didn't blog last week because I was too tired and I didn't have much time... Reason being, I had to return to camp very much early the next day for guard duty... The break was damn short... Damn it... haha...
Anyway, the guard duty was quite slack, but the aftermath kicked in the next day, because of the ultimate lack of sleep... What's worse was the fact that field camp followed it... The morning was lesson, and I barely could keep myself awake... Then we set off for Marsiling Jungle at around 10.30am... Ok, this is the 3rd field camp already, and it's only been my 7th week in OCS... Gosh...
Titled Patrol Field Camp, this field camp basically means no sleep... 3D2N, we slept for only 1 night... but my section slept around an ants' nest, and it was so hard to sleep when you get attacked by ants, and i mean alot of ants... At first we all thought it was heat rash, wondering how come heat rash on the head too... then woke up to realise bloody lots of ants... Won't elaborate on the camp, but all of us were damn anxious to get out from the camp... And I've got another field camp coming up the week after next... GOSH!!!
