Finally, I'm home!!!
It's been 3 long weeks...
If I were to write about all the things that happened these 3 weeks, it's gonna be damn long... So I'll summarise...
Basically, a few important activities that I can remember...
1. Confidence Jump or 'Cool Dip' ==> jump from a 5m high platform into a 4.5m deep pool, in your No. 4!!!
2. Tower Run ==> running up the SAFTI Tower and shouting at the same time (show aggressive-ness) haha... it's 256 steps up anyway...
3. Leadership Field Camp ==> Basically a tekan camp... but learnt the art of navigation too! haha...
4. Family Visit ==> as the name suggests, your family comes to SAFTI MI to visit you...
5. Live Range ==> the first of the 13 live ranges I'll be having in this Service Term... Fired with the Saw, SAR 21 and SAR sharp shooter...
6. Gas Chamber ==> wear a mask and go into a room filled with tear gas... it stings your skin when naked to the smoke and dries up your throat... quite memorable, but tortorous! haha...
The rest of the time spent was on lessons... Boring some are, most are prep talk initially, a bit dry and tends to make one sleep...
Physical training wise, we have had 1 IPPT Cat test and 1 IPPT Trial Test, and the real one's coming up next week...
Life in OCS has been quite hectic, because the pace is very fast and the mood is rather tight... Rest time is never 7 hours of sleep, and the recent route march I had, we completed 4km in 28 mins time... Seriously, it's a great cut-down from my BMT route march...
Had some friends in the same Wing too... The instructors are not bad, some of them are very nice. Still remember the first day in SAFTI, I was like a lost sheep... Felt so out of the world, but today, the whole platoon is talking and joking around, of course, not forgetting the shouting at each other to get things done... But it's only 3 weeks, and some of us have a certain amount of bond already...
About my Wing. Has a very strict Sergeant Major, and a very serious Wing Commander... The bunk I'm staying in is a 2-man bunk, and it's quite well-facilitated, with a computer with internet access... =D
My Wing is also popular for cleanliness, so I won't be surprised if the instructors hold us back due to poor area cleaning...
Mosquito nets are a must now, but thank God I'm sleeping under the fan, at least there's a little wind... My buddy is quite alright, quite nice actually...
*yawnss* i'll continue updating tmr...
