Earliest regular book out in ocs so far!
5 weeks has already passed in OCS... Life is getting back to normal! haha...
Came back from Section Field Camp... Shag... It was a 4D3N camp, let me mention the good things first...
1. Sleep on Safari Beds in bunks
2. Damn windy, because of all the fans installed
3. Can bathe
4. Not out to make us shag
5. More than half the meals were fresh ration
6. Coach bus to SFT
7. Take tonners from place to place except during the exercise itself
etc etc etc...
Now, the not-so-good things:
1. Fucking dehydrating... I almost knocked out; I had the some of the symptoms coming...
2. Wait to rush, rush to wait!
basically, that's all...
The camp was divided into 2 parts, Navigation Exercises and Section Drills
Navigation Exercises was fun, but was irritating because of all the walking... The terrain was rather refreshing, we totally got lost during the first day, but thank god we had an instructor with us who guided us along the way... But all was only put to good use when I decided to navigate...
Section drills were blaady shag but quite exciting... it's all about combat fitness, which most of us don't really have... And with the total weight on us, gosh... We learnt a few drills and practised, the practice session was fun, but the test on the last day of field camp was a killer... shag down to earth... haha... and after that we still had to fast march back to TFT for fast craft back to mainland... *shake head*
And I thought we could have a break... NO! We cleaned our rifles till dawn, and only slept at 2am!!! And we had to wake up at 5.30... Ended up half my platoon was late for fall in for breakfast... haha... And because we rushed down to fall in, we didn't bother to brush our teeth! hahahahahahaha... Which for most of us, clocked up to 5 days straight!! haha...
Oh, Ben and I were so sick of taking towel & soap from our field pack, we decided to just bathe with water thoroughly, and just wear our new clothes, and let ourselves get dried! haha...
This section field camp is indeed a good experience... But I'm suffering from all those sand-fly bites, blisters, muscles aches, etc...
